But I can recall at that time look at the photo.
Sniffers to smell and the angle of the sun at that time.
I remember the shape of the shore will change to look like a human.
多摩川をなぞる様に歩いてきたこの数年の間に景色は随分と移ろっていった。
だけど、写真を見ればその時の事を思い出す事が出来る。あの人と話した言葉、
あの時に嗅いだ匂いや日差しの角度。
人の表情の様にコロコロと変わっていく岸の形を私は覚えている。

"Tama River shows a face different when coming.
Is it because Tama River has changed?or,
Is it because I who is looking has changed?"
The word still remains for me as a question.
ある老人が言ったこの言葉が今でも私の中で問
いとして存在している。
「多摩川はいつ来ても違う顔を見せてくれる。
それは多摩川が変わっているからなのだろう
か？それとも、見ている私が変わっているか
らだろうか？」
