Seeing the two places at the same time may give you different thoughts and ideas than seeing them separately.
I live in a land that receives electricity, and I visit a place that used to supply that electricity.
Looking at the 10 years since the accident is not an excuse.
In addition, I am from a nuclear power plant area, and I still feel guilty for thinking that I am lucky that such an accident did not happen in my hometown.
東京電力福島第一原子力発電所を抱える福島県浜通り周辺に暮らす人達と風景、原発関連のデモ活動が行われていた東京の渋谷や新宿、
銀座周辺を行き交う人達と風景を同時に見ることで別々に眺める事とは違った思いや考えが生まれるのかもしれない。
電力を受容している土地に住んでいる私が、その電力を供給していた場所を訪れる。起きてしまった事故後の10年を眺める事は免罪符にはならないだろう。
それに加え私自身が原発立地地域出身であり、私の出身地でこのような事故が起きなくて良かったと思ってしまった罪悪感は未だに残り続けている。

真新しい防潮堤の先から登ってくる太陽がフレコンバックが積み上げられた景色の向こうへ沈んでいき、
新しく舗装された道路の上を神輿が通り、ソーラーパネルの横を天狗や獅子舞が練り歩く。
震災以前からあった景色が更新された風景に馴染んでいくにはそれほど時間はかからないのかもしれない。
様々な問題を置き去りにするように平成から令和になり、原発関係のデモは首都圏反原発連合が行う金曜官邸前抗議に集約された。
色々な問題に対する主張が街で響くようになり、震災直後の街の様子や夜の街灯の暗さを思い出せないくらいに街には人が溢れ、
賑やかな声が耳に入ってくる。

壮大な話しでは無く些細な出来事を積み重ねて徐々に形
になっていく事を私達は想像出来るのだろうか。

2011年に起きた東日本大震災。それに伴って起きた福島第一原発事故後の福島県浜通りを中心に人物や風景を撮影した写真。
そして、東京都心部で行なわれてきた原発関係のデモとそれが行なわれる事の多い場所の風景を撮影した写真。
電力を供給していた場所と電力を需要していた場所。
5年が経った今現在それぞれの写真を同じ空間に閉じ込めて観る。という事がどういう事なのだろうか。

walking south Indian fishing village,walking coastline of Normandy France.
I felt sense of closeness.
ここ数年故郷に原発があるという理由だけで様々な場所を歩いて来た。
それはどこか懐かしさをはらんだ旅行の様なもので、福島を歩いても、全国の立地地域を歩いても、
南インドの漁村を歩いても、フランスのノルマンディーの海岸線を歩いても親近感を覚えてしまった。
